Alekhine Memorial 2013

How did Aronian beat Kramnik in this position?

Aronian reached this position against Kramnik
and he found a very deep strategic plan!

Can you find it?

The problem is that white cannot make progress because the c file is controlled equally and the d4 pawn is weak.

What he managed to do, was that he made his d pawn a free pawn
by advancing f4 and f5 and he exchanged his f2 pawn for the e6 pawn!

and then he used his d4 pawn to clamp down the enemy rook and queen

this ideal scenario looked like this after some more moves

and Aronian managed to overcome the mighty Kramnik!
